​Teaching Strategies and Best Practices
This immersive session supports teaching artists of all disciplines in learning best practices and strategies for varied populations in educational and community based settings. Learn how accessible design and scaffolding can activate the artistry of all participants, leading to deeper and more meaningful engagement.

​Residency Formats
In this fun and fast-paced session, participants will learn about a variety of different residency formats to build into their practice, including a dive into arts integration and aesthetic education. See examples of successful teaching, lesson plan formats, residency structures, and understand the myriad ways that teaching artists can make an impact in the community.

Inclusive Teaching Practices
Are you interested in working with people with disabilities? This immersive workshop supports teaching artists of all disciplines in learning best practices in planning, facilitating workshops in a variety of settings, and creating adaptive art-making tools. 
Suggested for teaching artists at all stages of their careers, educators, arts administrators.
Workshop length: 4 - 8 hrs*

Building a Business as a Teaching Artist 
This intensive course will support you in understanding the various facets of running a small business. We will share tools for effective networking, grant writing, documentation, marketing, finances, and business structure.
Suggested for teaching artists at the beginning of their career or at a point where they want to take the next stage in their careers. Open to teaching artists in all disciplines​.
Workshop length: 2 - 8 hrs* ​

Introduction to Teaching Artistry  
In this fun and experiential orientation, students will learn about the field of Teaching Artistry. We will explore pathways into the field and share the multiple ways in which teaching artists thrive in their work. 
Suggested for: Colleges, universities, community colleges, high school arts programs, summer arts programs.
Who benefits?: Students in art majors/minors. Students considering a career in the arts and/or education. The schools that take responsibility for nurturing successful, sustainable artists.
Workshop length: 1-2 hrs

Orientation to the Teaching Artist Field 
This hands-on active orientation provides teachers, administrators, and community organizations the opportunity to learn about the work of teaching artists and how they can contribute to your organization. 
Suggested for community organizations, government organizations, arts organizations, elder care, school leaders.
Workshop length: 1-2 hrs

Creative Aging
If you are interested in working in communities with adults 65+, this workshop is for you. We will explore challenges, best practices, and employment opportunities in this growing sector.
Suggested for teaching artists and educators looking to work with older adults.

Community Engagement and Cross-Sector Collaboration
Learn best practices in community-based residencies in this exciting project-based workshop. Learn about the successes and challenges that teaching artists face in developing and executing community projects.

Building a Collaborative K-12 Residency
Teaching artists, classroom teachers, and administrators work together to build a highly-engaging residency that elevates social emotional learning, connects to existing curriculum, and develops skills in the arts. We will explore successful practices in the
K-12 classroom, unit planning, classroom management, social and emotional learning goals, outcomes, and expectations. 
Suggested for teaching artists of all disciplines at all stages of their career, K-12 teachers, administrators.​
Workshop length: 8 - 24 hrs*

Teaching Artist Foundations: Mentorship Program
​This program is intended to increase access and employment in the field of teaching artistry for artists from diverse backgrounds and underrepresented populations.
An immersive course in the fundamentals and best practices of teaching artistry. Participants will learn planning and teaching strategies, reflect on their learning, and develop/lead their own sample lessons while receiving generative feedback from their peers.
Suggested for ​teaching artists of all disciplines in early stages of their practice. Open to teaching artists and arts administrators of all levels.
​This workshop can be customized for a variety of populations. Please get in touch to discuss further. ​
